Application
Students applying for Parents’ Learning Allowance should follow these steps:
- Apply for student finance as normal and fill in the section for Parents’ Learning Allowance.
- We'll assess their application and contact them if we need more information.
- We'll contact the student to tell them how much student finance they can get, including any Parents’ Learning Allowance.
Paper application forms will still be available if they've already applied for student finance but still need to apply for Parents’ Learning Allowance.
Change of circumstances
If a student's circumstances change after they've applied for Parents' Learning Allowance, they should contact Student Finance England to let us know as soon as possible.
